FACE A : Block Party

« Make some noise »

Lost between the 70’s and the Now, somewhere between the Bronx & their stage.
They are two, 1+1, but also millions.
With a pair of ropes & aerial hoops, they built their identity.
Or maybe are they still looking for it, while sharing this body energy
coming from Hip Hop & distinguishing themself through Circus performance.
Their quest for movement leads them to existential pleassures, developped
on many different sequences…
5 to be exact , like the 5 components of Hip Hop :
Human Beat Box, Rap, DJing, B-boying & Graffiti.

Des hommes qui portent et des femmes qui tiennent

Young belgo-french company, founded in 2016, Des hommes qui portent et des femmes qui tiennent [cirque contemporain] aims for the mixity of Arts.
Their goal is to open their Art to the largest audience, to bring Culture to the many and promote social cohesion. To do so, the artists propose a statement & a concept that pushes the public to think together, outside the box.
The company is freely influenced by the urban culture & the Hip Hop movement.

Their first show, “FACE A : Block Party” [creation 2017] – a short form duo for the streets – allowed the artists to develop a Hybridization of the Movement & lay the bases of their reflexion about identity.

“Neptumium Ratons”, the Company’s 2nd Creation, is the natural extention of this quest for corporal identity.
